The purpose of the EOU website is two fold:
First and foremost we want to make available all the information you need in order for your company to make informed purchasing decisions. Secondly, we want offer you a wide variety of both the highest quality as well as value-priced essential oils to choose from.
EOU began as a testing organization founded by essential oil chemist Dr. Robert Pappas in 1998 as Applied Essential Oil Research. AEOR was, and still is, an analytical testing lab specializing in GC/MS analysis of essential oils and reporting the chemical breakdowns of literally hundreds of different essential oils and absolutes.
As a Ph.D. chemist, Dr. P soon became recognized as a leading authority in the field and was trusted by a long list of clients especially in the essential oil, fragrance, and flavor industries. In his testing role, more and more people asked Dr. P where they could purchase oils of the quality and price they needed.
Dr. P saw the opportunity and Essential Oil University (EOU) was born. Today, EOU is a leading provider of high quality oils, absolutes, CO2’s and other aromatic materials.
EOU is a family owned corporation specializing in the wholesale and bulk resale of essential oils and other aromatic raw materials to thousands of companies worldwide. In the process of doing business, EOU has collected an enormous amount of analytical reference data for research and quality control purposes, much of which we have compiled into the largest online chemical reference database for essential oils in the world. This incredible database is made available, free of charge, to our regular customers (please see the EOUdb page for qualifications).
Essential Oil University also makes available to its customers the famous Stove Still. Invented by Dr. P in 1996, the Stove Still makes it easy for anyone to distill their own essential oils right on their kitchen stove.
EOU is not a retail supplier and because we don’t ship in small retail, dropper type bottles expected by the average consumer, we recommend that end users find an appropriate retailer to meet their essential oil needs. Our goal at EOU is to provide companies with the highest quality oils at affordable prices.
We accomplish our goal of low prices and high quality by contracting directly with farms here in the United States and bulk importing direct from the grower/distillers overseas. We also offer our clients a wide range of other products and services including essential oil educational and course materials, access to our essential oil chemical reference database, distillation and lab equipment for home distillation and bulk supply of bottles, pipettes and other related essential oil supplies.
